Allie & David's Wedding!

When another wedding vendor friend has a sister getting married, you not only pull out all the stops but you get to work with all your friends! Allie & David's day was just perfect, full of all the custom stationery and signs thanks to Allie's sister Ashley, who is a professional stationer. To say the personal touches were incredible is an understatement. Allie wanted all the geometric shapes and Ashley designed the perfect invitation suite not to mention menu cards, champagne tags, and an epic seating chart. Even the bridesmaid's flowers were geometric shape. Allie & David also wanted to create a fun guest experience for their guests with a cigar bar on the patio with a full bar, fire pit, and s'more station which gave them all something they could enjoy. Their signature drinks were also named after their adorable dogs. Their day was filled with so much joy and laughter and it was also so fun to ensure my friend could enjoy her sister's big day. All the 'friendors' even grabbed a photo during the reception...we definitely had a good time too!

Kaitlyn & Frank's Epic Fall Wedding!

After doing a walk thru, planning her layout, linens, and all the pretty little things, Kaitlyn & Frank ended up having to change venues. Though it was extra stress, they ended up in the perfect spot with a killer mountain backdrop for their now completely outdoor wedding and reception. I was so happy to have been involved in the design planning on this wedding as well and the fall vibes were just stunning! They made their hexagon arbor and their florist absolutely killed it with the floral design. Not to mention the incredible displays throughout the wedding. After these two were pronounced man & wife, they shared a 'covid safe elbow bump'...so creeky!! Of course, they couldn't resist a kiss in the end and most romantically, had the most meaningful first dance. Written by his grandfather for his grandmother, the newlywed couple first danced to this love song, and then the groom danced with his grandmother. I cried when I made the timeline and even more so on the day. They also cut their cake with a vintage knife that had been used by the family for multiple generations and couples! Not just sentimental, these two wanted an epic dance party so they had a live band that kept the party going all night long. The band did an incredible job and was also amazing to work with. This venue also ended up being so fun for me and my husband, who was my assistant for the weekend, as the owner was his college roommate. We had a great time walking down memory lane after the guests left and then ended the evening with a first for me, a tailgate party in the hotel parking lot with pizza and beer. This wedding was just the absolute best. Check it out!

Julia & Kyle's Best Day Ever!

Kyle & Julia are not only clients but family. Designing and planning their wedding day, amidst a global pandemic, was truly as challenging as it was wonderful. From the beginning, Julia’s dress provided the inspiration for this wedding. And you can clearly see why! It is stunning and it inspired the elegant and vintage vibe of the entire wedding. The other very important aspect of the design was the bold blooms that the bride envisioned. Check out that color!! On top of the magnificent visual aspects of the wedding, these two added so many personal touches from the bride walking down the aisle to an original song by her uncle, readings from their nieces and nephew, heirloom jewelry, his grandfather’s vintage car, and a professionally choreographed first dance. Designing this wedding alongside these two as well as enjoying the day as a guest also made it extra fun for me. Enjoy a glimpse at this fantastic day!

Maddy & Greg's Wedding Day!

Maddy & Craig were each affected by the pandemic in their careers, she’s a nurse (on a COVID floor and he’s a journalist tracking all the craziness in print) so when they made the difficult decision to postpone, it felt extra unfair for some reason. They took it in stride however and just had the absolute BEST day!! Maddy was incredible, a coordinator's dream, following advice and organizing everything on her end so I could seamlessly execute it all. (I will just insert here a plea; please please please, if your coordinator recommends something, take time to listen and apply it. I promise, it will be worth it) These two also shared a common tragedy of having lost their fathers. The ways they chose to honor and incorporate each of them into their day were just incredible. An empty chair for both on each side, they stopped with flowers (and his dad’s favorite ball cap) at each respective chair before meeting each other at the altar, his picture around her bouquet, and donations to important causes to each of them in lieu of favors, in framed displayed for each guest table to view as well as photos on their memory table. I must say, there was not a dry eye in sight the entire day. Added to this was their adorable dog Lola who almost stole the show in a stunning flower collar. But NO one could outshine Maddy in her stunning wedding gown. Both of them were beaming all day and I was so happy to see them finally tie the knot!!

Amethyst & Ben get married twice!

Amethyst and Ben contracted me almost 2 years in advance. They had chosen a date and it was THEIR date. They would be married that day. Enter COVID. But these two would not be swayed. So, they pivoted and decided to get married not once, but TWICE. They got married on their original date with a small group of their closest families and friends and had their originally planned wedding day a few months later. Because these two were able to focus on what was truly important to them, even a pandemic couldn’t stop them from making and celebrating their commitment.

I also had the privilege of doing some design work with Amethyst. We met for the first time, at a Starbuck’s on the way to Caroline’s Rentals and More to pick out alllll the pretty things to enhance her wedding venue. After discussing her colors, vibe, and vision for each element, we had the outline that guided us through Caroline’s incredible barn (FULL) of things. One of the biggest challenges can be looking at everything and narrowing down what will actually full fill your vision. Enter a design planner who can see how and where each thing will fit in!

Their day was filled with romantic, bohemian touches that included a wonderful dusty blue accent color, succulents, and all the copper and rose gold as a backdrop to the joy and love these two shared. A unity ceremony completed their same year, vow renewal in which they planted a tree. Delicious BBQ (which they ate after their 1^st marriage too!), a yummy cupcake and whoopie pie dessert bar and lots of fun dancing completed their magical day.

Emily & Nate Wedding

I knew Emily & Nate's wedding was going to be incredible from the moment I had my consult call with her. She shared their engagement story that included him incorporating a marked page from her favorite book; Pride & Prejudice and so many romantic touches filtered into their wedding plans. On their big day, the rain clouds rolled in and instead of ruining their day, these two focused on each other and had a ceremony that not only included a beautiful string duo, but also the gentle sound of rain on a tin roof as they said I do. Her uncle married them and the commitment they made before their friends and family was all the sweeter because of it. At rehearsal, I typically joke that as parents partake in meaningful parts of the ceremony (ie a parent prayer time) that at the end they can 'hug...kiss...high five' the couple/each other as they feel lead'. It's literally something I've repeated at every rehearsal I've ever done. And sure enough, these two dads made it a reality! It was the best moment (can you find the photo??). This family was so sweet and joyful the whole day and the couple just fully enjoyed greeting each one of their guests. Being with their closest friends and family was one of their top priories and the amazing vendor team made sure to allow them time to accomplish this. Speaking of their vendor team, Emily put so much care into creating a remarkable team that made their day run seamlessly. As a side note, a lot of couples contract me for wedding day management after they've selected their vendor team. Sometimes this works out great, other times I wish so badly that I could have lead them through some of those choices. Even with my management packages, I still provide vendor recommendations and guidance! But I digress, I'm just so happy for these two and wish them many more sweet and happy moments.

Patty & Adam Wedding

Patty and Adam got married at a private residence and to say they put hard work into their big day is an understatment! Adam even broke his arm the week of their wedding, you'd never know right?!?!? Patty's mom and family were incredible too, putting in lots of effort and time to make their day perfect. It was a privledge to help them bring it all together. The amazing images were even taken by the Groom's sister who was also a bridemaid. The team of people that surrounded these two was just incredible and it was the best day. Congrats to the happy couple!

Julia & Brad had a beautiful June day to say I do! They chose the stunning Melhorn Manor for their weddding. Julia & her mom planned every detail! They had a light and airy pastel color theme that they carried throughout the bridal party, linens and flowers. The incomparable Floral Designs of Mount Joy executed their style perfectly! The brides bouquet had the most perfect mauve succulents to compliment the rest of the decor. The guests were treated to a whoopie pie bar AND an ice cream station by Fox Meadows Creamery! Needless to say, this wedding was amaizing! I was so happy to execute their plan and ensure they coule enjoy it!

The love this couple shared for one another was infectious! Their day was filled with family, laughter and most importantly, s'mores! When Kathleen contracted me, her priorities were to get married and eat a s'more in her wedding dress. We more than accomplished both. These two just approached their day with such joy and I was so honored to be apart of it from beginning to end. Though it was May, the bride really wanted sunflowers. Luckily, our amazing florist, Nadine from Lancaster Flower Co, came through with not only sunflowers, but other bright and sunny flowers to match this couples joyful personalities. The circle arch that framed their ceremony played tribute to the sunflowrs as well as the cute honey jar favors on the guest tables. We had so much fun planning out fun details to help bring their vision to life. After the couple shared their first dance surrounded by their guests, they shared a delious meal by Tasteful Occasions. After dinner, Klock Entertainment threw a fantatic party under an open air tent and stars. What an incredible day!! Congrats Kathleen & Chris, here's to many more wonderful days!
